  Speech Therapy
The Speech and Language Team provides services for children from birth to six years of age. Speech Language Pathologists and Communicative Disorders Assistants provide individual and group therapy sessions. Children learn a variety of communication skills such as making sounds correctly, developing vocabulary, understanding questions and putting words together in sentences. For some children with very special needs, communication may involve the use of sign language, picture boards or other types of augmentative communication.

Early Words is a program that provides information and education about how babies and young children learn to talk and what caregivers can do to help children learn to talk. Caregivers are encouraged to call or attend community screenings if they have concerns about a child's speech and language development.

Together Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists work with families to evaluate and assist infants and children who are having difficulties feeding.
