  Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy is a health care profession that provides services to children whose ability to function in everyday living is at risk due to developmental or physical problems. The occupational therapist designs purposeful activities to help the child develop functional skills and become more independent. Recognizing the uniqueness of the child's/family needs, the occupational therapist may work with the child or caregivers to build skills and/or adapt the environment.

Occupational Therapists are involved in specialty services such as: seating, wheelchair and equipment prescription; home accessibility evaluation; written communication and consultation for augmentative communication; and splinting.

Under the direction of the physiotherapists and occupational therapists, the seating technician constructs and adapts specialized seating and equipment for home, school and recreation.
